Origin Story
Hoku is the Hawaiian name for "star." Finding Hoku was no easy task. Discovery of this amazing coffee came about after months of trying to find an espresso blend that was the perfect balance of a sweet, rich cocoa body, dried fruit, and crisp citrus notes. While Hoku was developed for espresso, it is also a wonderfully rich and dynamic drip coffee.
Both bean types grow at an elevation between 1500-2000m. They go through an exacting washed process where defective beans float and are removed. Remaining high-quality beans are drained, sundried, and hulled to delete any dried layers, then they are sorted and packaged.
Discerning coffee drinkers will appreciate the delicious marriage of Columbian coffee's brown sugar, chocolate and nutty caramel flavors with Ethiopian coffee's blueberry and floral essences. This smooth bodied coupling of two of the world's most beloved beans will stimulate both your taste buds and your mind.
