Our Mission
We are leveling the playing field for women in the coffee industry by amplifying their voices, empowering their roles and galvanizing their opportunities. We offer a place for female growers and roasters to sell their specialty, small batch gourmet coffees and tell their stories. We celebrate the dedicated women who are revolutionizing this industry.
These rebels, caretakers, innovators, and artisans have pursued excellence and fairness in an arena where their leadership was once a rarity. Great coffee is a testament to the meticulous care they invest in every step of the process. Their natural attention to detail ensures that each cup is a masterpiece of love and labor. We honor their gift of coffee from Mother Earth.
15% of our profits support women in coffee!
Our Guiding Star
Our muse, Astrea means star maiden and she is the goddess of justice and cultural renewal. Who better to represent Radiant Star Roasters? And, who better to spearhead java for justice than our founder, Micha Star Liberty, prominent civil and human rights attorney, fierce feminist and champion for the underrepresented and woman’s rights.
"Accountability begins with awareness, and through advocacy, we can reshape the narrative, ensuring every person is honored on the path to a more equitable, fair society." - Micha Star Liberty
Micha earned a reputation as a street fighter for justice on behalf of victims of sexual assault, trafficking and discrimination. She was named one of the top 50 lawyers in America in 2024 and Micha was Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the California Bar Association and President of the Consumer Attorneys of California. Micha and her firm are recognized by:
- Presidential Award of Merit
- The Defender of Justice Award
- Outstanding Service Award
- Women’s Advocate of the Year Awards
Prior to law school, Micha served in the White House as a communication staff member producing the Presidential Update program. Our founder is blending her business, legal and political acumen to grind out darkness and brew the light of change by donating 15 percent of every coffee bag sold to benefit education, resources and opportunities for women to thrive in this industry.
